Meaning of Spoonerism

I read Yahoo Q&A to spot a new word – “Spoonerism”. It is very interesting to know more about the its psychological meaning. It means that is a speech error as vowels, consonants or morphemes are switched as similar sounds/words. It is named after Reverend William Archibald Spooner who spoke many errors and suffered embarrassment in the public.

Examples:
“Three cheers for our queer old dean!” (dear old queen, referring to Queen Victoria)
“The Lord is a shoving leopard.” (a loving shepherd)
“You were fighting a liar in the quadrangle.” (lighting a fire)

I am wondering if this disorder affects hearing impaired people. Do you agree that it affects hearing impaired people? They communicate in body language and no sounds of spoken words.

A Ponder on A Small Distinction Between Conscience and Sub-conscience

In drowsiness and drunkenness state,  a physique is releasing stressed or tensed areas which include a brain. A mind becomes concentrate on a single thing in a quiet environment. In an other hand, the mind has some difficulties in a mental concentration in a noisy environment.

In awaking state, it will create more tenses and pressures. A mind will be more active and becomes a multi-concentrated.

Medical Explanation of Delusion

A delusion, in everyday language, is a fixed belief that is either false, fanciful, or derived from deception.

I uncovered more an engrossing issue of delusions in a medical term. Everyone may have one of these delusions because everyone has a phobia (no matter how many). The phobia is actually developed by a negative/horror experience (physically or emotionally), a strong remembrance or presence of the previous dream in sleeping state. a negative/false influence and a previous indoctrination. When a person is in post-depression, he/she may suffer from or experience one or many of these. Sometimes a person can not accept deeply a painful truth which creates a big blow to him/her and becomes unstable mental. Related cases of a spouse in abusive marriage, a family member (mostly elderly and child) in domestic violence, an employee in corrupted management, a convict or a captive in abusive environment, a high loneliness of a person who live alone without social activities for a long period and etc.

Types of Delusion
  • Delusion of control which is a false belief that another person, group of people, or external force controls one’s thoughts, feelings, impulses or behavior.
  •

  • Nihilistic delusion whose visualized centres on the nonexistence of self or parts of self, others, or the world. A person with this type of delusion may have the false belief that the world is ending.
  •

  • Delusional jealousy (or delusion of infidelity): A person with this delusion falsely believes their spouse or lover is having an affair.
  •

  • Delusion of guilt or sin (or delusion of self-accusation): This is a false feeling of remorse or guilt of delusional intensity.
  •

  • Delusion of mind being read: The false belief that other people can know one’s thoughts.
  •

  • Delusion of reference: The person falsely believes that insignificant remarks, events, or objects in one’s environment have personal meaning or significance.
  •

  • Erotomania is a delusion in which one believes that another person is in love with him or her.
  •

  • Grandiose delusion: An individual is convinced they have special powers, talents, or abilities.
  •

  • Persecutory delusion: These are the most common type of delusions and involve the theme of being followed, harassed, cheated, poisoned or drugged, conspired against, spied on, attacked, or obstructed in the pursuit of goals.
  •

  • Religious delusion: Any delusion with a religious or spiritual content. These may be combined with other delusions, such as grandiose delusions (the belief that the affected person was chosen by God, for example), delusions of control, or delusions of guilt.
  •

  • Somatic delusion: A delusion whose content pertains to bodily functioning, bodily sensations, or physical appearance. Usually the false belief is that the body is somehow diseased, abnormal, or changed—for example, infested with parasites.
  • Smiliars to Diseases/Illnesses such as schizophrenia, paraphernalia, manic episodes of bipolar disorder, and psychotic depression.

See a list of rare ones.

In personal, someone under my roof is a most annoying person who does always stick what she is believing increasingly non-existant of something. It is more than a just normal person. Too much for me. As a observer, i can understand what that person goes through painful sufferings which may deteriorate her mental ability of judgement, comprehension and intellect.

    Interesting Post from Blurt Magazine

Notice: For matured and open-minded readers only. If you are against it, please respect my views. Thank you.

I picked a magazine at SMU for my reading time. A drawing picture which caught my attention was unorthodox. It is good and interesting topics to read.  The cover of Blurt magazine is that a woman in a male toilet is urinating at a wall bowl ( i don’t know what it is called). Funny? I was curious why that cover was shown openly. One of its articles is about the humorous proposal of 2 in 1 toilet installment. It means that the unisex toilet allows a woman and a man to go together. It is SMU student’s funny idea. For me, it is quite amazing because of a good convenience. nevertheless, that society is very orthodox and own a serious privacy. Elder women will complains more. Horny men will be entertained uncontrollably and tempting. Teenagers will drop their jaws as the private parts which they have never seen before will wow them. A couple will have more advantages but it will be more social taboo in a school. I think it is most funny one of the magazine’s topics.

These images are about homosexuality. I am not against the homosexuality because I am associating with these people for many years and it helps me to understand them better. I know my own sexuality orientation. Its topic is “The Butch Dilemma”. I agreed with the funny and true views of that topic’s author. I learnt new words from it. It is about Femme and Butch. Femme means that a person (male or female) dress and behave more feminine. Butch means that a person (female or transsexual) dress and behave more masculine. Plus, level of being butch or femme. Examples are being butch profoundly or less and being femme less or more. A heavy butch who look more macho finds it is troublesome to go female toilet or buy a personal napkin at a shop. Sometimes, i was reacted a man walked into the female toilet but i took closer look and realised it was heavy butch. She looked so embarrassed and ignored me as i gave her a shocking look. A light butch who is easily spotted as a butch woman has problems of buying a male clothing at male department. A part of the article is “The Jealous-Boy Dilemma”. It made me laugh but it is much agreeable. In this, some girls are attracted to the butchs’ appearance. I know some girls like a guy with feminine facial feature or masculine facial feature. I am easily attracted to a guy with masculine facial features. How to identity it is feminine or masculine facial feature? Hmmm. let me describe some but i cant go into so much due to details of facial outlines. It is common to see many chinese young boys whose facial features are feminine. They prefer to be shaved. And they have cute chubby, soft eyebrows and fair skin. My appearance has some masculine and feminine features because of some ways of my thinking and my hormone imbalance on period dependence. I dressed like a butch when i was young. It does not mean that i am lesian. It is because it is how my thinking was. I will not furnish more details of “how the thinking was” which is too complicated to talk.

Other topic is “New Trail”. It is about an experiement on generless society.  Male nurses, female boxers, househusbands, etc.

Accusing/Blaming someone may be a kind pleasure

Case #1: I gave a listen ear to a elder woman who always complain about someone’s wrongdoing. It is really non stop. She does not trust the victim and tried to make him/her more hardships. However, she often deny about her small mistakes. For my visualisation,  the victim may be a scapegoat. It is because in aging period, her hormone level may be changed and released some chemistry to her body/brain. That’s how she is too stressed. Blaming someone gives her a sense of security. Secondly, many elder women are often seen as lonely people. It affects their esteem. The habit of blaming someone without thinking twice gives her a new ego. I came to understand the elder woman when i was reading on an article which is written by a woman ( i forget her name) who was known Malaysia director for a film. She mentioned “When elder women cried, no one understands or notices her”

Case #2: In my personal study on a local community, it is too common for me to see hearing impaired people blaming each other without reconciling or making a peace. Depend on the factors that affects on their behaviours. For instance, many of  the deaf people’s normal family member do not teach them properly in their formative years. Especially their own morale/esteem. No one praises them as much as other normal people. Many deaf blame others in order to get an good attention and are not willing to understand a situation as they have “willing-to-learn” phobia which they do not  want to learn more than what they understand.

Case #3: I blamed my partner often after that biggest mistake without thinking twice. It is because i was under serious pressure. I was seeking a solace/comfort or was trying to build a “ego”. Sometimes, i do not understand whole stuffs which appear suddenly without adapting.

Case #4 Under same roof, someone blames other family member for causing the family to suffer more instead of discussing for a good solution. As she suffers from muilt-chorinc illness, her ability of thinking and solving-problem is deteriorating. Blaming the troublemaker gives her sense of distress and satisfaction.

Case #5:  It is common to see many women who feel blue and blame people for no reasons due to her hormone responses especially their menstruation.

Blaming or accusing someone makes you feel satisfied or “good”. It is kind feeling like alcohol addiction, love addiction ( i am studying on it) and etc. Please be more understanding and have time to mediate before blaming/accusing someone who may be a scapegoat. Good Luck
