Taste: 3.5 of 5

Cuisine: Chinese vegetarian

The restaurant serve the vegetarian steamboat on weekday excluded friday. It is common to see some Buddha monks and nuns dining there. In 2005, I had dined in there. The taste was very strong and heavenly. It had good aroma which was made of a heavy amount of chinese herbs. But, now, the taste is much different. The additional base soup is spicy (tom yam) and the herbal soup has light taste. I prefer the old taste of the herbal soup. I am chinese herbal soup lover since i was a child (my little sister hated the bitter herbal soup and often gave it to i who is willing to drink for her!) I know it is not usual that a young love to drink the bitter herbal soup. Then i am rare person. Back to the food. I picked more amount of assorted mushrooms than other food items. I love mushroom so much. You cook the mushroom in the herbal soup, it will be wonderful smell and heavenly taste. =)

Do you know what do “mock meats” mean? Heard of Mock Mutton, Mock Chicken and etc.In the fact, they are mostly made of soy and produced a “meat” shape so that it appears like a real meat. Never seen of them before? Then shop at the supermarket and find them.

A dessert is sweet nicely. Some of the desserts (cakes) contain no egg. I never tried them before because i was too full to eat them. vegetarian Sushi are quite interesting. Its taste is light.

For my blood type, i eat vegetables frequently. That’s why i feel happy after eating them. For Blood Type A, its dietary is usually vegetables, wheat, soy but less dairy and less meat. For Blood Type B, its dietary is more red meat and dairy and less soy, white meat and vegetables. I do not learn more about Blood Type O and AB yet.

Accusing/Blaming someone may be a kind pleasure

Case #1: I gave a listen ear to a elder woman who always complain about someone’s wrongdoing. It is really non stop. She does not trust the victim and tried to make him/her more hardships. However, she often deny about her small mistakes. For my visualisation,  the victim may be a scapegoat. It is because in aging period, her hormone level may be changed and released some chemistry to her body/brain. That’s how she is too stressed. Blaming someone gives her a sense of security. Secondly, many elder women are often seen as lonely people. It affects their esteem. The habit of blaming someone without thinking twice gives her a new ego. I came to understand the elder woman when i was reading on an article which is written by a woman ( i forget her name) who was known Malaysia director for a film. She mentioned “When elder women cried, no one understands or notices her”

Case #2: In my personal study on a local community, it is too common for me to see hearing impaired people blaming each other without reconciling or making a peace. Depend on the factors that affects on their behaviours. For instance, many of  the deaf people’s normal family member do not teach them properly in their formative years. Especially their own morale/esteem. No one praises them as much as other normal people. Many deaf blame others in order to get an good attention and are not willing to understand a situation as they have “willing-to-learn” phobia which they do not  want to learn more than what they understand.

Case #3: I blamed my partner often after that biggest mistake without thinking twice. It is because i was under serious pressure. I was seeking a solace/comfort or was trying to build a “ego”. Sometimes, i do not understand whole stuffs which appear suddenly without adapting.

Case #4 Under same roof, someone blames other family member for causing the family to suffer more instead of discussing for a good solution. As she suffers from muilt-chorinc illness, her ability of thinking and solving-problem is deteriorating. Blaming the troublemaker gives her sense of distress and satisfaction.

Case #5:  It is common to see many women who feel blue and blame people for no reasons due to her hormone responses especially their menstruation.

Blaming or accusing someone makes you feel satisfied or “good”. It is kind feeling like alcohol addiction, love addiction ( i am studying on it) and etc. Please be more understanding and have time to mediate before blaming/accusing someone who may be a scapegoat. Good Luck

My Visit of M1 Fringe 2010

“Border” at The Chapel of Sculpture Square is a film that is about illegal refugees inside the lorry. My visitation of  this was on 18Jan. It is interesting. It is about what Arabic 4 people chatted about their hopes in the crowd dark box inside the lorry. It is other country ( i have no idea what).

“The Power Of a Cliche” was at The Ateliter of National Museum of Singapore at level 3. It was about photography of women in Iran. But too bad for me as i had visit the  museum on 20jan  but turned to be unavailable. I am disappointed that it was cancelled and missed a chance to understand the religious and social society in Iran. I had no idea what happened to it. perhaps it is due to religious reasons. It’s brief was how women live in Iran where is a Muslim country.

“Last Meal” at Esplanade Tunnel is about the prisoners who chose their last meal before the execution. I find it is quite inspiring as it shows how they are in the society and the law. Few of them declined their last meal because maybe, they were in depression state. Few of them ate light meal. Some of them enjoyed the fine, tasty and nice meal on their final day. For my opinion, they should have last meal before their death otherwise they would be “hungry souls”.

“The Scale of Justice” at Jenade of Esplanade. Th artist was in the prison for 7 years without a guilt. He made a huge artwork. Many of white hand balloons and black hand balloons are separated. The black ones are on upside down and other ones are on ground. You may put black or white hand balloons in the area there.

“Of Flora and  Funan of World” is about illegal wildlife trafficking. I am impressed on the scientist who dared to mailed a package of a book that contained a rare gekeco through a courier. Very bold. Some of his attempts were successfully imported.

The festival will last on 24 Jan. Enjoy there.

A Mouth Trap

Genre: Business Communication, interpersonal communication in social psychology.

A mouth trap? Interesting topic  then i learn many things from this motivatal book. The book points out common mistakes from real life cases. One real story.

Pieree D’ Pardoreau, histrocial french figure, king’s most trusted councilor was beheaded for making a small mistake on insulting a french Queen. He had never mention who she was in the statement to the reporters after being released from excution. The people thought it referred to the queen and passed the messages to another person until it reached the king heard it and ordered to behead him. So poor guy. What if Pierre D’ Pardoneau is like you? The people will think you are gossip or bad one. The book shows you how to improve a personal and professional communication in a high society. Its contents are

#Decide what you want before opening your mouth

You have to knowledge a problem, cause or reason before opening your mouth. A captain yelled at a staff, ” Why did you make bill 304 payment instead of bill 307?!?” The annoyed staff was about to explain but the captain ignored and apologised to a customer. The staff raised a voice, ” Someone must put the wrong bill. I remember i did not put this.” Another staff came out and announced that he did this.

#Don’t Listen to your voices in your head

You are nervious to attend a interview job. Before going in the office, you talk to yourselve if you think you have low chances to get that post and the interviewer would not hire you because you have no talents. You change your mind and walk away from the waiting room to your house. You have really no confinace in yourselve.

#Death by conversation

A doctor brought his wife, homemaker to his co-worker’s house for a party. The wife talked to the host about the homemade dessert but the husband did not pay attention what they were talking and was pondering on the patient’s health check-up. The wife asked him for his opinions on the dessert but he commented medicially. The issue of making the dessert was not interesting to him.

#Know your audience

You made an anouncement of your friend’s promotion post in front of the friends while she felt embarrassed. After the lunch gathering, She scolded you not to anounce openly about her position and she preferred to keep low profile. Do you understand her well?

#Recipes for Conversing in Even the Most Difficult Situations

You recieve a call and said “hello, this is Fast .. Hold on” but suddenly, you heard the caller hanged up.

#What happen if i am speaking to a big, fat jerk?

You spoke to your boss but the boss shouted loudly at you to talk to him when he was free. The boss was really pressurized badly.

#Coaching Employees from Hell

If you were employer, imgine a elder head waitress failed to follow a new instruction and you warned her. But she did not change her habit.

#Maybe you did’t say a word but your body langusge gives you away.

my most problem!! It affects my career future. You do not say anything to your new neighbour and they will think you are selfish until you make a nice greeting and they realised you are friendly.

#Free yourselve from bad jokes, sidebars and offensiv remarks that lead to troubles.

If you really gossip with other workers, the boss will think you are one cause. Be safe rather than sorry.

#Road Rage on the computer: how to create engaging emails that  get a reponse, not a reaction

A reporter emailed you for a interview appointment but you were stressful and  busy to reponse her/him. You emailed back “I am too busy. Please do not waste my time!!!” It sounds offendsive. How to avoid this way?

#How to recover after you put your foot in your mouth: The art of making apologises

You need to improve your sincere aopology level.

Enjoy reading the book.

My Visit At SAM for Filipino and Mexcian exhibtion

The exhibition is “In the Eye of Modernity: Philippine Neo-Realist Masterworks from the Aten Art Gallery” till3 Jan 2010.

I am impressed amazingly on the glass artworks – one of the Filipino gallery. There are many different shapes of glass containers with different fragrances to express the feeling and the experience. One of the displays is “death” shape with the “death” fragrance that contains light wood. One is “Island” shape glass that contains mint and vanilla. You can smell them to feel what its purpose is.

Other gallery is about Politic, cultural and Faith. Most of Filipino artworks are in dark colour ( more likely to be earth colours)

I select some of the artworks that are very interesting and inspirational.

Heritage Tunnel is the physical objects with the wood and the mirror. The wall of the cylinder is filled with books and one light bulb lean against the wall. Both of the end of the wood cylinder are mirror. You can see the visualised form that look like longer tunnel inside. The visualised form shows you there is no end and no beginning with the wall of books.

A Painting of Cards Of Pilipino that is to show few tarot cards that tell you what they were doing, what they thought and what their positions were. ( I am tarot cards user who can interpret the painted tarot cards’ meaning.) I was surprised that the painter is clever to draw the interpretation in the painting by the tarot cards and the people’s positions and activities. the tarot cards are mostly Arcade Major (I to XXII)

I noticed that some of the artworks show Jesus’s things, suffering and courage like a crown of thorn, his blood and broken cross. I guess Filipino people are Catholic strongly.

Filipino Myth, Legend and Folktales.

The Origin of Grain is very interesting legend in the model (made of glass and plastic ( i guess). The grain farmer had dry land that failed to grow the plants. He saw his god from a heaven and the god offered his hand to him and pulled him into the heaven farming land. The farmer stole the grain seeds from the heaven land and climbed down and planted them in the human land.

The Hunter is about man and animals. The hunter was attacked by the predator and was saved by his hound which managed to find a villager for a rescue.

Pedro And Wich is about hero and witch. While he was riding on the horse, he dropped his handcheif into the fire to kill the flying witch..

Some of the myth artworks show or contain the feathers. I guess it represents a peace.

Artworks from Mexico. I noticed that most of them are more plain than Frida’s inspiring artworks.

Christ Destorys His Cross.

“his metaphors for the victory of justice and social equality over ignorance and oppression” Amazing. It showed how Jesus revived and destroyed the cross and the buildings of ignorance. The label against the broken cross bore Jesus an insult.

Three Ages in the plain painting showed 3 generations.

The Thorn in the cream painting. The woman, the harvester has not fear as the thorn staked her feet. she was trying to pull it away from her feet at the desert.

Virgin’s Lover

Virgin’s love by Philippa Gregory

Rate: 4.5 of 5

Genre: Romance, Betray, political and partly History accounts.

Summary of the book: After Queen Mary was dead, the title of rulership was passed to Princess Elizabeth who was under house arrest as a suspect of plotting against her half-sister, Queen Mary. Queen Elizabeth I was coronated in 1559 while she was still her childhood friend, Robert Dudley’s mistress. Robert’s wife was Amy Dubley whose death was rumored to be murder crime by Queen Elizabeth I’s order and as accidental account due to her chronic illness. Amy seemed to hate Queen Elizabeth I for taking her man from her life but Robert did not love her anymore as his love on Elizabeth was growing. However, Robert’s ambition kept him passion to claim a kingdom by marrying Queen Elizabeth I who realised she did not tolerate his desires although she loved him deeply. Many people protested against the planning marriage of Robert and Elizabeth. She had no choice to determine a marriage proposal to other Duke or prince. On verge of kingdom claim, Robert’s wife was murdered and infamed him on his crime.

It is very fantastic to read it. To utter my surprise, I learnt about the crime Queen Elizabeth and William Cecil made to avoid Robert’s ambition. i did not know Robert had wife, Amy, naïve girl at first. During first year of Queen Elizabeth I’s reign, she ordered to remove Catholicism practices and replace Protestantism (Christianity).

Case 39

Case 39

Rate:2 of 5

Genre: Horror, Thriller

A family social worker, Emily received the case file that was labelled as 39 from her manager. The file seemed to be untouched for long time. She opened it and read through it. She decided to find out what happened to the girl whom her abusive parents hoped to kill her. She managed to rescue her from the violent parents after the girl called her secretly. After that, she decided to take in her as her carer. However, when she lived together with the girl, she started to suspect her as she was not innocent at all time. The girl had supernatural powers to conrol people to kill each other.Emily struggled to stop her from doing devilish.

For my opinion, it is jsut average as the film shows me many common things. But it is good idea that the devil possessed in the fictional character’s body and played with other children’s mind.
